What this type asks

The smallest domain on the blueprint, and the one where the wrong answer has consequences outside the patient. Three task statements: the anatomy that makes an image readable, producing and documenting diagnostic images while following protocols for safety and quality, and maintaining the equipment and materials. Dental radiographs are excluded here — they belong to the dentistry domain, which is a deliberate split in the outline rather than an oversight. What makes this domain examinable in nine questions is that almost every item can be resolved by asking one of two things: does this produce a diagnostic image, and does it minimise exposure to the people in the room. When those conflict, the second wins, because a repeat exposure is a cost and an avoidable human dose is not.
