A nurse aide is helping a client with weakness on the right side put on a shirt. Which arm goes into the sleeve first?

What this type asks

The area that grew most in the 2024 outline, from fourteen per cent to twenty-two, and now the second largest on the examination. It is the daily work: bathing and mouth care, dressing a client with a weak side, positioning at meals, measuring intake and output, toileting and incontinence care, and the conditions that let somebody sleep. Questions here reward the candidate who has thought about the ORDER of a task and about which detail protects the client — dress the weak arm first, check water temperature before the client is in it, leave the call signal within reach.

Frequently asked

How many activities of daily living questions are on the CNA?
13. The content outline in force publishes an item count for every content area, and it gives Physical Care Skills — Activities of Daily Living 22% of the paper — 13 of the 60 scored questions (22%). The full-length test on this site deals that number rather than an even share, and the 2016 outline still printed in the free practice packet gives a different one.
Is this section timed?
Not on this page. These sets are for learning the material — each answer comes with an explanation straight away. When you want the whole paper, the full-length test runs the published clock. The real sitting is 70 questions in 120 minutes.
Are these real questions from the test?
No. Every question here is original, written to the published format. The real item banks are confidential and nobody outside the publisher has them.
