1 32 of the 100 scored questions
Two technicians discuss a patient’s tracing in a corridor where other patients are waiting. Why is this a privacy problem even if no name is used?
What this type asks
Almost a third of the paper, and the domain candidates are most likely to skip because it does not look like an EKG topic. It is the widest of the three: privacy law and infection control, the boundary of what a technician may say about a tracing, how to talk to a patient and to the rest of the team, taking and acting on vital signs, teaching a patient what a stress test and an ambulatory monitor will be like and checking that they understood, entering what happened into the record, and recognising the signs that a patient is in trouble. The old plan called this "Patient Care" and gave it forty items with none of the compliance or documentation statements. The current one gives it fewer items and considerably more surface.
Now do it with the clock running.

Frequently asked
- How many safety, compliance and patient care questions are on the EKG exam?
- 32. NHA states an item count for every area of the plan and never states a percentage, so 32 is the document's own figure — 32 of the 100 scored questions — and not a share this site worked out. The full-length test deals exactly that many from this area.
- Is this section timed?
- Not on this page. These sets are for learning the material — each answer comes with an explanation straight away. When you want the whole paper, the full-length test runs the published clock. The real sitting is 100 questions in 120 minutes.
- Are these real questions from the test?
- No. Every question here is original, written to the published format. The real item banks are confidential and nobody outside the publisher has them.
