What does days supply represent on a dispensed prescription?

What this type asks

The domain that changed shape most, even though its weight barely moved. Under the previous outline it opened with procedures to compound non-sterile products and listed alligations among its calculations. Neither appears in the outline in force. What remains is four knowledge areas: formulas, calculations, ratios, proportions, conversions, Sig codes, abbreviations, medical terminology and symbols for days supply, quantity, dose, concentration and dilutions; the equipment and supplies required for drug administration; lot numbers, expiration dates and National Drug Code numbers; and the procedures for identifying and returning dispensable, non-dispensable and expired medications. Three of those four are marked on the outline as reflecting calculation-based knowledge, so this is still the arithmetic domain — it is simply a different arithmetic from the one most free material drills.

Frequently asked

How many order entry and processing questions are on the PTCE?
18. PTCB publishes a percentage for every domain rather than an item count, and it gives Order Entry and Processing 22.5% of the paper. 18 is that percentage applied to the 80 scored items — worked out here rather than lifted from the document, which is why the percentage is shown alongside it so you can check the arithmetic.
Is this section timed?
Not on this page. These sets are for learning the material — each answer comes with an explanation straight away. When you want the whole paper, the full-length test runs the published clock. The real sitting is 90 questions in 110 minutes.
Are these real questions from the test?
No. Every question here is original, written to the published format. The real item banks are confidential and nobody outside the publisher has them.
