Guides to the tests themselves
Every page below prints the publisher documents it was written from and the date each was read. Where a number is not published — a score you need, a breakdown by question type — these pages say so instead of inventing one.
What is on the CNA written exam
The nine content areas of the nurse aide written examination and how many questions each one carries, from the outline in force — plus the weights that changed, which most free practice material still teaches.
How many questions are on the CNA exam
Seventy questions are presented and sixty are scored: what the ten pretest items are, why you cannot spot them, how long you get, and what the oral version changes.
The written exam and the skills evaluation
Certification takes two separate assessments and both must be passed. What each one is, what a practice question bank can and cannot do for you, and where the skills checklist comes from.
Allied Exam Bank is independent practice material and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or authorized by Credentia, the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, or any state nurse aide registry. Every question here is original and none is taken from any actual examination. This site is not a nurse aide training programme and does not prepare you for the skills evaluation.
